Inmarsat adds new cyber security options

Inmarsat has announced two new components for its Fleet Secure maritime cyber security service, with the addition of a multi-layered endpoint security solution, Fleet Secure Endpoint, as well as a training app for mobile devices called Fleet Secure Cyber Awareness.

Cyber ready VLCC delivered by HHI

ABS and Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) report that they have collaborated in the development of a new set of cyber security requirements for the ABS Cyber Security-Ready (CS-Ready) Notation for marine assets, with ABS issuing the first CS-Ready Notation to a VLCC delivered by HHI from its Korean yard in November.

CargoX launches blockchain platform

CargoX has completed the launch of its blockchain platform for the transport industry, which it claims is the “first open, neutral, and accessible blockchain platform” for shipping.

Danish security advisory firm Risk Intelligence has announced the signing of two separate agreements with Norient Product Pool and DFDS, which will both utilise its Risk Intelligence System to provide data for use in security management.

Furuno systems for largest US container vessel

The largest container vessel ever built in the United States, the Daniel K. Inouye, designed to deliver cargo between Hawaii and west coast continental US ports for ocean cargo transportation firm Matson Inc, has been delivered with a range of navigation and communication systems supplied by Furuno.

Maritime HR and payroll technology company Adonis has announced that it has completed an integration project to connect its system with the Brightwell Navigator payments platform, with the new capabilities to be made available in the latest updated versions of Adonis Personnel Manager.
