OneOcean has unveiled its latest online voyage solutions, which have been developed to help fleet owners and managers solve multiple navigation and compliance issues whilst enabling their ship and shoreside teams to communicate much more effectively.

Innovation Norway has awarded ScanReach NOK 18.5M (USD 1.96M) for a series of development projects to make maritime and offshore operations safer and more efficient at sea through wireless connectivity. The support package is one of the largest of its kind from Innovation Norway this year.

How to go digital to help save costs

The demand for digital technology has risen tenfold as maritime businesses embrace new ways of working during the coronavirus pandemic, according to satcom specialist IEC Telecom[1].

Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK) has joined the Maritime Transportation System Information Sharing and Analysis Centre (MTS-ISAC) to strengthen vessel and shoreside cyber risk management.

Shipping Company Groningen (SCG) has contracted offshore internet services provider Castor Marine to install its Global 4G Connectivity package on all 30 of its vessels, providing fast, global 4G-LTE internet connection for its crews.
