SES-17 successfully launched on Ariane 5

Multi-mission Ka-band satellite SES-17 has been successfully launched into space onboard an Ariane 5 launcher from the Europe’s spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana.

Spire updates maritime AIS data solution

Space-based data, analytics, and services company Spire Global has announced the availability of Maritime 2.0, an update to Spire’s maritime solution that provides marine data on vessel locations, weather conditions, and global shipping activity, enabling organisations to optimise real-time decision making.

Lloyd’s Register (LR) has granted digital twin ready approval in principle to Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) for its smart ship solution, SVESSEL CBM and S-Fugas (Samsung Fuel Gas) system.

Mintra expands eLearning services across Asia

Mintra, a supplier of digital learning and human capital management (HCM) software, plans to further expand its presence in Asia after appointing Singapore-based The Work Shop to support its maritime sales strategy in the region.
