ISWAN launches new mobile app for seafarers

A new free mobile app has been launched to enable seafarers to access help, information and support from ISWAN, around the clock.

ABB’s automation, propulsion and switchboard systems for vessels have successfully been verified to meet DNV’s class notation ‘Cyber secure SP0’, based on the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) guidelines for cyber risk management.

Kongsberg Digital’s (KDI) K-Sim Engine, K-Sim Cargo and K-Sim Navigation simulator training solutions will be the first to attain certification according to the new DNV class D standard.

ShipDC welcomes Navarino to IoS-OP

Bharti injects additional $500m into OneWeb

Bharti Global has invested a further $500m into OneWeb, bringing its total funding to $2.4 billion.

The China Navigation Company (CNCo), a member of the Swire Group, has chosen Sperry Marine’s SperrySphere Connected ECDIS for 36 of its operated vessels.

Norwegian shipping company Seatrans Chemical Tankers has selected OrbitMI’s maritime intelligence solution, OMI, to improve its commercial operations.
