4G broadband for IFCA vessels

Buzz Marine is supplying its HubbaX4 Go marine broadband systems to five vessels from the UK’s Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority (IFCA), providing the ships with 4G connectivity while at sea.

Marlink has signed a partner agreement with Tampnet which will see 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) services added to its VSAT and MSS (Mobile Satellite Services) portfolio in the North Sea.

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has announced several new initiatives to improve connectivity in the Port of Singapore, including a new 4G mobile network built in collaboration with M1 Limited.

Buzz Marine will supply 9 of its HubbaX4 Go marine broadband devices to the Fred. Olsen fleet of high speed catamarans that operate between the Canary Islands.

Telenor-owned Maritime Communications Partner (MCP) has been chosen by Statoil to build and operate what the company claims will be the world’s largest 4G network at sea.

4G coastal broadband from MVG

The Microwave Vision Group (MVG) has announced the launch of S@iLink, a 4G broadband solution that it says will provide speeds up to 100 Mb/s for vessels in coastal and port areas.
