Høglund signs new partner in South Africa

Høglund has signed a new agreement with South African electronics and satellite communications expert, Mackay Marine, to widen Høglund’s offering of advanced maritime solutions.

Ship manager Held Bereederungs (Held Shipping) is moving connectivity, bridge system maintenance and managed IT and cybersecurity services for its 27-vessel fleet to the Marlink Group.

Cyprus-based maritime communications company Tototheo Maritime has signed a five-year agreement with SES to provide its customers with seamless, reliable data connectivity services. SES will deliver its service via SES Networks’ Skala Global Platform.

Inmarsat has secured a fleet-wide agreement with offshore support vessel major Tidewater to advance its digitalisation strategy by upgrading the majority of its active fleet to Fleet Xpress.

Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) and Ship Data Centre (ShipDC) have agreed to use the latter’s IoS-OP to share data received from all NYK-operated vessels equipped with SIMS, expanding the total to about 200 NYK vessels.

On December 7, in Moscow, the memorandum on intention to equip the series of 10 cargo-passenger ships with autonomous navigation (a-Navigation) systems was signed between the Sakhalin shipping company Morspetsservice and the developer of autonomous navigation systems Kronshtadt Technologies. A similar MOI was also signed on December 8 in St. Petersburg between the shipping company SeaEnergy and Kronshtadt Technologies to equip 10 more general cargo vessels.

Sperry Marine and DNV GL have signed a strategic agreement to enable vessels to securely share their navigation data for use in DNV GL's digital classification services and obtain real-time class status of the navigation solutions.

Turkish shipping services provider Manta Denizcilik Nakliyat ve Ticaret (Manta Shipping) has selected Marlink to provide Inmarsat’s Fleet Xpress service on eight of its vessels.
