ReCAAP updates digital tools

The ReCAAP Information Sharing Centre (ISC) for piracy and armed robbery against ships in Asia has launched a new website and mobile app to assist its key stakeholders, such as maritime enforcement agencies, shipping companies, and the larger maritime community.

Dryad releases online risk map

Dryad Maritime has released its online Dryad Maritime Country Risk Map, a risk portal designed to help ship owners and managers manage maritime security.

Marisatcom Satellite Communications and its partner SeaNet report that they have recently completed the delivery of five ASE Iridium Comcenter Citadel systems to South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, the first tranche of a contract for 14 emergency comms packages expected to be delivered by end of July 2016.

A new mobile video app has been developed based on the ‘eviid’ system from UK company YRFree, designed specifically for use in remote or hostile maritime environments via a low-bandwidth satellite link.

Security search tool now online

A new online tool has been launched to help ship owners and managers searching for private maritime security companies (PMSC) to protect their vessels.
