One Sea, the industry alliance that brings together exponents of autonomous ship technology, has welcomed three new members.

Boston-based Sea Machines Robotics has announced a new partnership with Hike Metal that will integrate Sea Machines’ SM300 autonomous vessel control system onboard commercial vessels tasked with search-and-rescue (SAR) missions.

Lloyd’s Register (LR) has announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICT company ST Engineering Electronics (STEE), and Mitsui & Co. (Mitsui) to develop an ocean-going autonomous navigation system for the 'World’s Largest Ocean-Going Autonomous Vessel Programme', an initiative funded by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).

Wilhelmsen and Airbus have delivered a variety of small items to working vessels at anchorage via drone technology as part of a drone pilot project in Singapore.
