ClassNK updates PrimeShip-HULL

ClassNK has announced the release of version 2.0.0 of its PrimeShip-HULL(HCSR) ship design software, updated to incorporate IACS Common Structural Rule amendments adopted in December 2014.

A green-ship equipment certification centre opened this month in Gunsan, reports the Korean Register (KR), a founding partner in this project.

Lloyd’s Register Marine (LR) has created a new app for smartphones and tablets, allowing users to access ship and fleet data from anywhere in the world.

RS to use NAPA software

The Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) is to use NAPA software, the classification society and the Finnish software house have announced.

KR RuleCheck software for EMSA

The Korean Register (KR) says that it is to supply the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) with a new generation ‘RuleCheck’ software for port state control inspectors, which will be delivered at the end of this year.

ClassNK has announced the development of a new software system, PrimeShip-GREEN/PSTA (Progressive Speed Trial Analysis), to help shipyards comply with EEDI requirements.

ClassNK is commencing the provision of cloud-based archive centre services for NYK Lines and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, with the classification society having reached a preliminary agreement with the two shipping companies regarding the use of the As-built Drawings Storage Service (ADSS).
