Danish service provider Seasat today announced that it has won a three-year contract to supply more than 60 VSAT systems to Maersk Supply Service vessels.

Cobham Satcom announced today that its SAILOR 900 VSAT antenna has been chosen to equip 45 Maersk Supply Service vessels. The manufacturer also signed today a strategic partnership agreement with Furuno that will see it provide this Ku-/Ka-band antenna and its forthcoming SAILOR Global Xpress antennas for integration in Furuno’s maritime VSAT portfolio.

Cobham SATCOM has developed a switchable feed kit for its Sea Tel 9797B antenna, which automates the process of transitioning the antenna from C-band service to Ku-band service.

Cobham announces two GX antennas

Cobham SATCOM has announced that two new SAILOR antennas will be available this summer to prepare for Inmarsat’s forthcoming Global Xpress Ka-band service.

Inmarsat is set to launch a new voice and data satellite service designed specifically for the maritime leisure and fishing community called Fleet One, and has named Addvalue Technologies and Cobham SATCOM as manufacturing partners for the service.
