Sea IT reports that it has won a new contract with Alba Tankers to install its BlueCLOUD system at two more of the company’s office locations in Poland and Sweden, to add to an existing installation at its Danish headquarters in Aalborg, as well as implementing multiple products such as such as BlueCONNECT, BlueSKY and BlueSTAR on board the vessels Atlantic and OW Baltic.

Essberger fleet moves to VSAT

The Hamburg-headquartered John T. Essberger (JTE) Group is to move its entire fleet to VSAT, which will act as the primary communication system on all of the company’s 22 chemical tankers and nine dry cargo vessels. Installation is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Marlink reports that it has been contracted to implement the KeepUp@Sea IT operational platform from fellow Norwegian company Palantir on 110 vessels for shipping company CMA CGM.

SMSGlobal reports that it will provide daily coverage of the UEFA Euro 2016 football championships and the 2016 Rio Olympics free of charge to customers of its CrewCommCenter satellite communications software.

Veritas Tankers to roll out Sea IT platform

Sea IT reports that it has entered into a long term ICT agreement with Veritas Tankers that will include installation of its BlueCORE Generation 4 platform, as well as BlueCONNECT, a virtualised software which acts as mail server and communications management system.

GT Maritime has announced that it is set to phase out its GTMail software, with an End of Life programme underway that will see users migrated to the company’s latest GTMailPlus system, built from the ground up using modern development languages to improve optimisation and enhance the remote configuration features available shore side.
