DSME to implement NAPA 3D ship design software

Korean shipyard DSME has agreed a deal to use the 3D model-based NAPA Steel software application to manage its vessel design processes, following the completion of a benchmarking evaluation involving multiple vendors.

South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) and software company NAPA have announced a new tailored NAPA-DSME Power solution for LNG carriers built by DSME.

L-3 SAM Electronics has been awarded a contract to provide its NACOS Platinum navigation, automation and control system, as well as communications equipment, for three new Hamburg Süd container ships.

The Prime Ministers of South Korea and Finland have marked the signing of the 50th agreement for the provision of the fuel optimisation software system created as a collaboration between Finnish company NAPA and Korea's DSME.

NAPA for Design for LSV

BMT Defence Services has announced that it has applied a software package by NAPA during the design process for a new logistics and support vessel (LSV) ordered by the Norwegian Defense Logistics Organisation (NDLO).

Martek Marine has won a series of orders to supply its MariNOx Evolution onboard emissions monitoring and engine efficiency system to Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) and Hyundai Heavy Industries in Korea.

Tankers to benefit from military technology

SELEX Elsag, a Finmeccanica company, has been contracted by Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) to supply a package of communication systems to tankers being constructed as part of the UK Royal Navy's Military Afloat Reach & Sustainability (MARS) programme.

AET has ordered the NAPA-DSME Power software system for installation on four newbuild 319,000 deadweight tonne (DWT) VLCC vessels.
