F-drones, a Singapore-based start-up developing large scale autonomous drones for maritime logistics, has announced its success in raising its seed capital. The round was led by ship manager Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS).
F-drones has successfully completed the first commercial night drone delivery. The drone sent a 3D printed critical part weighing 3 kilograms over 5 kilometers within 7 minutes to Berge Sarstein, owned by Berge Bulk.
Wilhelmsen’s Marine Products division has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Singapore-based drone delivery provider F-drones, for last mile delivery of its 3D printed spare parts.
GAC has partnered with Singapore-based start-up F-drones to develop large-scale drones that can deliver up to 100 kilograms of supplies over 100 kilometres to vessels and offshore platforms. Testing is currently underway on F-drones' 3rd prototype that is capable of handling items up to 5 kilogram over 50 kilometres.
F-drones has completed the first commercial Beyond-Visual-Line-of-Sight (BVLOS) drone delivery in Singapore on 19 April 2020.
