GTMaritime is introducing a fully-customisable news distribution service for vessel owners and operators helping them keep their crews up-to-date on events unfolding in their home countries as well as offering a selection of lighter content to help maintain morale.

A new solution from GTMaritime counters a major cyber security weakness of ships at sea today by deploying critical software and security patches to protect shipboard systems before threats emerge. GTDeploy provides a software deployment platform to deliver security updates to ships wherever they are in the world ‘in the background’ without requiring intervention by IT staff or distracting crew.

A need for reliable data synchronisation over multiple systems first led Rocktree to GTMaritime, but the floating terminal operator now has much larger digital ambitions in its sights.

GTMaritime has announced that it has seen significant growth in the use of its secure, maritime optimised email software and other cybersecurity solutions as shipowners and operators step up a gear to harden onboard networks and protect their ships from digital threats.

GTMaritime has appointed satellite connectivity expert Keng Teen Phang (KT) as head of sales for Asia-Pacific to drive business development in maritime digitalisation and to help the region face up to fast-emerging disruptive cyber threats.

GTMaritime has launched GTMailPlus.Continuity, a now standard feature of its GTMailPlus service for the shipping and offshore industries, allowing users to access emails with complete security, even when their systems are unexpectedly offline.
