UK-based ION - International Ocean Networks, in partnership with North American satellite company Hunter Communications, has launched a new iDirect Evolution Ku-band maritime satellite network with coverage over the West, East and North coast of Canada, to provide VSAT connectivity for vessels transiting the Northwest Passage (NWP).
