Anti-piracy systems launched

A range of new anti-piracy systems from providers Applied Satellite Engineering (ASE) and Beam Communications, utilising either the Iridium or Inmarsat satellite networks, have been launched.

Inmarsat has announced that the FleetBroadband Multi-voice service, a new capability that will allow up to nine simultaneous telephone calls to be made through a single FleetBroadband terminal, is now available.

Vocality has announced that it has started shipping its BASICS Multivoice for FleetBroadband hardware platform, for use with the forthcoming Inmarsat Multi-voice enhancement to the satcom terminal.

XpressLink dealer dozen announced

Inmarsat has announced the first appointments to its global network of XpressLink dealers, with twelve companies to offer the service via sales teams based in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Inmarsat has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Imtech Marine to become the first Value Added Reseller of Global Xpress.

Globe Wireless has signed a distribution agreement to sell Jotron B120 VSAT antennas to its maritime customers.

Intellian has launched a new Ku-band VSAT antenna which will be upgradable for use with Inmarsat Global Xpress Ka-Band after that service is launched.
