Intelsat completes another Epic launch

Intelsat has announced the successful launch of the Intelsat 32e EpicNG high throughput satellite aboard an Ariane 5 launch vehicle from French Guiana, with signal acquisition now confirmed.

Intelsat 33e, the second of Intelsat’s EpicNG high throughput satellites (HTS), has successfully completed all in-orbit testing and entered service on 29 January 2017, the satellite operator has announced.

VT iDirect reports that it has completed a successful round of over-the-air tests of its latest generation iQ Series remote on the Intelsat 29e satellite, the first in Intelsat’s Epic series of high throughput satellites (HTS).

Marlink signs for Epic Pacific coverage

Marlink has signed an agreement for capacity on Intelsat’s upcoming Horizons 3e satellite, an Epic-series High Throughput Satellite (HTS) to be launched in the second half of 2018 to cover Asia and the Pacific Ocean.

Intelsat and GEE extend Epic deal

Intelsat and Global Eagle Entertainment (GEE) report that they have entered into a new expanded contract for the provision of global satcom connectivity services, including significant capacity on Intelsat’s latest EpicNG generation of satellites.

Intelsat 33e, the second of seven planned Intelsat EpicNG high throughput satellites, has been successfully launched from French Guiana aboard an Ariane 5 launch vehicle.

Intelsat reports that Intelsat 33e, the second of its Intelsat EpicNG series of high throughput satellites (HTS), has arrived safely at the Guiana Space Center in Kourou, French Guiana, where it will undergo final preparations before its scheduled launch on an Ariane 5 rocket on August 24, 2016.

Epic era begins

Intelsat 29e, the first of Intelsat’s EpicNG series of high throughput satellites, has launched successfully from French Guiana aboard an Ariane 5 vehicle and signal acquisition has been confirmed, the company has announced.

Kymeta Corporation and Intelsat report that they have successfully completed initial testing of the mobility performance of Kymeta’s flat-panel antennas on Intelsat’s satellite network for maritime applications.
