ICS calls on IMO to agree on CO2 monitoring

The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), the worldwide trade association for shipowners, is urging the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to develop a global regulation on CO2 monitoring before the European Union adopts what it calls “unilateral regional regulations.”

The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) has launched a web-based information resource to assist shipping companies in implementing the requirements of the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC).

IMO action on ECDIS anomalies welcomed

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) Sub-Committee on Safety of Navigation's decision to take action to address operating anomalies with ECDIS has been welcomed by The International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), which it hopes will help to get to grips with this “serious problem.”
