Wärtsilä has reported that it is to acquire L-3 Marine Systems International (L-3 MSI), a part of L-3 Communications Holdings Inc and the owner of brands such as SAM Electronics, L-3 Valmarine and Lyngsø Marine, for an enterprise value of €285 million.

SAM Electronics, an L-3 company, reports that it has supplied a range of technology systems for installation on the world’s largest container vessel.
SAM Electronics reports that it has equipped Viking Line’s new 57,000-gt passenger ferry, Viking Grace, with a NACOS Platinum integrated navigation control system, together with a Valmatic Platinum integrated automation system from its associate company, L-3 Valmarine.
