Four-year IT contract for Maersk Tankers

Maersk Tankers has agreed a long-term strategic ICT systems and support deal with Sea IT, covering all vessels operating within its fleet.

Wärtsilä has agreed to supply its Nacos Platinum series of integrated navigation, automation, and propulsion control systems for 27 new container vessels being built for Maersk Line at yards in China and South Korea, the sum of three contracts agreed since summer 2015.

Maersk Tankers, the owner and operator of one of the world’s largest fleets of product tankers, has chosen to install Inmarsat’s Fleet Media maritime entertainment service on 30 of its vessels as part of a pilot scheme.

ABB reports that it is working with MeteoGroup to equip 140 Maersk Line containerships with advisory software that will help to optimise routes based on factors including hull design and weather.

Northrop Grumman Corporation's Sperry Marine business unit has been selected to upgrade the radar and ECDIS systems on more than 80 Maersk Line vessels over the course of the next two years.

Danelec retrofit for Maersk Line fleet

Transas ECDIS for Maersk Tankers

Transas has announced that its ECDIS will be installed across the entire Maersk Tankers fleet, including both retrofit and new build vessels.

Danish service provider Seasat today announced that it has won a three-year contract to supply more than 60 VSAT systems to Maersk Supply Service vessels.

Cobham Satcom announced today that its SAILOR 900 VSAT antenna has been chosen to equip 45 Maersk Supply Service vessels. The manufacturer also signed today a strategic partnership agreement with Furuno that will see it provide this Ku-/Ka-band antenna and its forthcoming SAILOR Global Xpress antennas for integration in Furuno’s maritime VSAT portfolio.
