Iridium revenues stay flat in new figures

Iridium Communications has reported third-quarter 2015 total revenues of $106 million, made up of $81.2 million of service revenue and $24.8 million from equipment, engineering and support, a one per cent decline versus the comparable period in 2014.

Globalstar Sat-Fi now available in EMEA

Globalstar has announced the availability of its Sat-Fi system in EMEA, which allows the user to connect their existing smartphones and existing phone numbers to send and receive communications over Globalstar’s satellite network.

Iridium has announced that production is complete on the qualification dispenser for the Iridium NEXT constellation's initial launch, which will be conducted by ISC Kosmotras from the Yasny launch site in Russia using a Dnepr rocket, with qualification testing on-track for completion in June 2015.
