The Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) has completed a regulatory scoping exercise to analyse relevant ship safety treaties, in order to assess how Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) could be regulated.
The IMO’s Marine Safety Committee (MSC) met in London last week for its 94th session, with several IT issues on the agenda, including Iridium’s proposed move to become a GMDSS satellite provider.
