Leading global dry bulk operator Oldendorff Carriers has agreed a deal to implement a new IT and communications package across 70 owned vessels in its fleet, incorporating Fleet Xpress and the Infinity Cube system developed by maritime technology services provider Navarino.

Norddeutsche Reederei is to outfit its fleet of 50 vessels with the Navarino Infinity Cube, which will be used to manage IT networks and communications on board the company’s ships.

Navarino to add new Ku-band VSAT package

Navarino is to expand its satellite communications portfolio with the addition of a new Ku-band VSAT service, the company has confirmed.

Navarino has joined the CSO Alliance, to assist in promoting cyber awareness in the maritime sector and support the development of the CSO maritime cyber-crime reporting portal.

Thenamaris chooses Fleet Xpress

Greece-based Thenamaris Ship Management has begun a fleet-wide rollout of Inmarsat’s Ka-band Fleet Xpress (FX) service following the agreement of a contract with satellite communications provider Navarino.

Navarino has entered into a new agreement with Inmarsat to integrate Fleet Xpress into its existing service portfolio, with a commitment to bring more than 1,200 vessels on to the Ka-band system over a six-year period.

Infinity passes 4,000 mark

Navarino has announced that its Infinity system has now shipped more than 4,000 units, with the system having launched five years ago.

Jeppesen has entered into a partnership with maritime satellite communications company Navarino to create a new platform for chart data delivery via satellite.
