Raytheon to launch customer-defined ECDIS

Raytheon Anschütz has announced the launch of what it says is world’s first user-defined ECDIS, with the new Synapsis ECDIS NX software having been developed based on direct input from the company’s customers.

VARD adds INS to research vessel

Raytheon Anschütz reports that it has won a contract with VARD Holding for the supply of a Synapsis Integrated Navigation System (INS) to a research vessel under construction at Cochin Shipyard.

Raytheon Anschütz, via its Norwegian distributor Syberg AS, has been awarded a contract for the supply of its Synapsis Integrated Navigation System (INS) to a new windfarm service vessel being built for Danish shipowner ESVAGT.

Radio Holland Canada reports that it has won two contracts to supply navigation and communications equipment to the Canadian Coast Guard.

INS for Offshore Crew Change Vessel

Raytheon Anschütz has agreed a new contract for the delivery of its Synapsis Integrated Navigation System (INS) to a Crew Change Vessel (CCV) under construction for Danish shipping company Esvagt at Astilleros Zamakona Shipyard in Spain.

CASCADe, a three-year, EU-funded project which is closing at the end of January, reports that it has developed new methodologies for information sharing and display on a ship’s bridge.

Raytheon Anschütz has announced new contracts for the delivery of its Synapsis Integrated Navigation Systems (INS) to five 14,500 TEU container vessels being built at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding for COSCO Container Lines.

Raytheon Anschütz has won a contract to supply its latest generation of Integrated Navigation Systems (INS) to three car carriers built by the Croatian shipbuilder Uljanik Brodogradiliste.

Raytheon Anschütz launches ShipGuard

Raytheon Anschütz has developed a new onboard security system called ShipGuard, which integrates a vessel’s existing navigation systems, such as AIS and radar, with commercial surveillance cameras.
