MMA Offshore fleet deal for SpeedCast

SpeedCast reports that it has been awarded a multi-year service agreement by MMA Offshore, one of the largest marine service providers in the Asia Pacific region, to provide VSAT services to its global offshore vessel fleet.

The China Navigation Company (CNCo) has agreed a maintenance and remote monitoring contract with Radio Holland covering 35 vessels.

MOL to roll out Fleet Xpress

Inmarsat has announced that its partner JSAT MOBILE Communications has signed an agreement with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) to introduce the newly-launched Fleet Xpress service across the majority of its car carrier fleet.

Hellenic Seaways, working with Telenor Satellite partner Marel Electronics in Piraeus, Greece, has selected Telenor’s Ka-band VSAT to provide connectivity services on board the entire Hellenic Seaways ferry fleet.

Elcome International has announced the signing of fleet service agreements with two major ship operators in the Middle East, covering navigation, communications and other on board electronic systems.

Inmarsat, working with Global Xpress reseller Network Innovations (NI) and its partner Fusion Marine Technology, has signed a contract with Alaskan Leader Fisheries to install Fleet Xpress for its fleet of ships operating in the Bering Sea.

Intellian reports that it has completed a triple installation of 2.4m VSAT antennas for the next generation Petronas Floating Liquid Natural Gas (PFLNG) vessel Satu, built at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in South Korea.

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier owner GasLog Ltd  has decided to equip its entire fleet of 24 vessels with the SetelHellas Maritime Telemedicine Solution (MTS).

Essberger fleet moves to VSAT

The Hamburg-headquartered John T. Essberger (JTE) Group is to move its entire fleet to VSAT, which will act as the primary communication system on all of the company’s 22 chemical tankers and nine dry cargo vessels. Installation is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
