Space-powered data and analytics company Spire Global has announced that it will be working with the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) to provide global AIS data to support the Agency via its EU Member States.
While VDES (VHF Data Exchange System) is an exciting upcoming solution to the overloading of the AIS, this advancement is still several years away. Space-to-cloud analytics company, Spire Global, has announced the formal launch of a new business unit, Spire Maritime, which will be specifically dedicated to developing satellite data and analytics solutions for the maritime industry.
