Satellite operator Telesat has announced a collaboration agreement with service provider Global Eagle Entertainment, to work on the development of services for the maritime and aeronautical markets leveraging Telesat’s LEO (low Earth orbit) satellite system.
NSSLGlobal and Telesat have agreed a deal to expand their existing relationship, with NSSLGlobal agreeing a contract for a satellite transponder on Telesat’s Telstar 12 VANTAGE satellite to add to its VSAT IP@SEA, Cruise-IP and Broad-IP services for passenger and merchant vessels.
OmniAccess has expanded its contract with Telesat, agreeing a deal to add new high throughput satellite (HTS) capacity on Telesat’s Telstar 12 VANTAGE satellite to serve the Caribbean.
