BCG updates simulation user interface

Buffalo Computer Graphics (BCG) has released new control software for its line of radar simulation products, with the Maritime Simulation Tool (MaST) replacing the company’s Enhanced Graphical User Interface (GUI2).

The United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) have announced a new training scheme in Marine Cartography and Data Assessment, covering the creation and maintenance of paper and digital charts utilising computer-aided cartography applications.

ECDIS e-learning company Safebridge reports that it has completed a Basic ECDIS Training course for the Port State Control of Germany, provided to inspection officers from the BG Verkehr, the Authority responsible for conducting Port State inspections on vessels visiting German ports.

Falck Safety Services and VIKING Saatsea have signed a preferred partnership agreement to offer a blended online, on board and on shore STCW refresher training course, combining theoretical exercises with practical training.

Danelec Marine has launched a programme to provide free upgrades to its customers’ shipboard ECDIS systems to meet new changes to equipment standards.

Seagull adds app for crew training records

Seagull has created a mobile app for crew training that will allow seafarers to track their records and receive critical safety alerts via their iPhones and Android devices.

Videotel has partnered with ECDIS training company Safebridge to provide a new service for certification of seafarers in ECDIS type-specific training while serving onboard ship.

AkzoNobel’s Marine Coatings business and e-learning compbany Marlins have launched a training system for the effective application of the International range of marine coatings.

Videotel reports that it has released a Videotel Partner API, an application programming interface that facilitates the exchange of data between Videotel and its clients’ crew management software systems.

Transas agrees MoU with XVR Simulation
