Intellian has confirmed that its newly-launched v45C antenna has been qualified for operation on the Intelsat FlexMaritime network. By combining Intellian’s compact, high-performance antenna with Intelsat’s FlexMaritime High Throughput Satellite (HTS) service, this approval will deliver global connectivity to customers in the smallest package available to date.

KVH expands maritime network coverage

KVH Industries has expanded its mini-VSAT Broadbands HTS network coverage throughout Hudson Bay and the North Atlantic, including northeastern Canada, the Labrador Sea, Iceland, and Greenland.

Turkish shipping services provider Manta Denizcilik Nakliyat ve Ticaret (Manta Shipping) has selected Marlink to provide Inmarsat’s Fleet Xpress service on eight of its vessels.

IEC Telecom has joined forces with Thuraya to bring affordable quality satcom technology to smaller vessels that have limited onboard space. Orion Edge V enables a VSAT-like communications experience over L-band with access to a cloud-based system offering a wide range of telecom services.

Iridium Certus added to KVH TracPhone

KVH Industries has announced that the Iridium Certus service is now available from KVH as a companion for KVH’s TracPhone mini-VSAT BroadbandSM systems.

Rotterdam based ship management company Misuga Kaiun Holland B.V., subsidiary of Japan headquartered Misuga Kaiun, has chosen Marlink’s unlimited global Sealink VSAT connectivity for its dry bulk, multipurpose and wood chip carrier vessel fleet.

Speedcast has signed a multi-year agreement with SK Offshore & Marine (SKOM), the chartering division of large Malaysian offshore support vessel (OSV) provider Nam Cheong, to deliver Ku-band VSAT services for 17 SKOM vessels.

Inmarsat is introducing two new satellite payloads to provide broadband in the Arctic region for the first time. The Global Xpress payloads are being developed in partnership with Space Norway, and its subsidiary Space Norway HEOSAT.
