Maritime technology company GNS and Edge AI software platform provider FrontM have announced a new technology partnership to help shipping companies save 40 per cent on the cost of shore to ship voice calls.

RedPort Global has introduced a new satcom management system which combines the Inmarsat Fleet Xpress Network Service Device (NSD) with RedPort’s own Optimizer Enterprise satellite router and VoIP gateway.

VSAT installed for Global Seatrade newbuild

Globecomm reports that it has installed a communications package including Ku-band VSAT and Iridium Pilot on MV Baltic, the latest newbuild to join the Global Seatrade fleet.

Maritime mobile network provider, Skybridge, has launched VoiSea, a VoIP app that offers access to free voice and HD video calls and messages at sea and other remote locations, whilst keeping bandwidth consumption to a minimum.

VoIP deal for Globecomm

One Horizon Group, which operates its own Chinese retail VoIP service called Aishuo, has signed an agreement to deliver its mobile VoIP service to Globecomm Asia.

One Horizon Group has signed an agreement to be the exclusive supplier of Voice over IP services to Chinese satellite equipment manufacturer KeyIdea Information Technology, which will be incorporated into a new KeyIdea maritime satellite service to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2015.

Orange VoIP for EMAS offices

Offshore operator EMAS has chosen Orange Business Services to provide a cloud-based communications solution that will connect 2,000 employees across seven countries.

Alphatron Marine reports that it has signed a lease contract with Seacontractors for an initial eleven vessels, to provide satellite hardware and data solution packages.
