BMT introduces collision simulation service

BMT today announced the launch of a new service that will create simulations of marine collisions in an effort to identify failings and improve safety.

VDR manufacturer Danelec Marine is introducing VDRConnect, an interface module that provides selective transmission of data from its DM100 voyage data recorder to a shipping company’s headquarters.

Additional Chinese orders for Danelec

Danish manufacturer Danelec Marine today reports that it has received orders to supply Voyage Data Recorders (VDRs) and Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) for 18 offshore support vessels currently under construction in China.

UK-based developer PC Maritime today announced that it has upgraded its ECDIS so that it meets the requirements of the new VDR Performance Standard which came into force at the beginning of the month.

Danelec Marine today announced that it has received orders for 48 of its DM100 Voyage Data Recorders (VDRs) from nine Chinese shipyards.

Danish supplier of voyage data recorders Danelec Marine yesterday announced that it has received 11 VDR retrofit orders from its Italian distributor Telemar and another eight from its Dutch distributor Aage Hempel.

New VDR with swappable memory

Danelec Marine is introducing a new generation Voyage Data Recorder (VDR) featuring a technology that separates the hardware from the software in order to reduce shipboard servicing times.

INTERSCHALT maritime systems reports that Holland America Line is retrofitting its entire fleet of 15 cruise ships with its VDR G4 and its BLUETRACKER software, which automates data flow from vessel to shore.
