Scandlines to roll out Sertica modules

European ferry operator Scandlines has agreed a deal with Logimatic to implement selected HSQE modules from the SERTICA fleet management software system, with an initial focus on integrating a safety management system with the SERTICA Management Systems module.

CargoMate agrees Konecranes pilot

Finnish gantry crane and port systems provider Konecranes has agreed to pilot UK-based start-up CargoMate’s port call optimisation technology from Q1 2019, to assess how the application can assist in minimising delays and idle time for container ships in port.

Autonomous ship discussions continue at IMO

The IMO’s Maritime Safety Committee’s (MSC) 100th session has been completed, with progress reported by the committee in the Organization’s regulatory scoping exercise on maritime autonomous surface ships.
