The company says that with WMS, developers of custom mapping applications with web access features will now be able to use Transas TX-97 map tiles in their software, be they online web-based or mobile apps.

Transas says that its tile caching technology will help in maintaining high levels of performance even in the case of access by a large number of simultaneous users.

The Transas Web Map Service package includes regular updates to the chart collection, as well as future upgrades.

The company says that it can be integrated with virtually any online mapping engine, including Google, Bing, OpenLayers, Leaflet, Yandex, Yahoo and jQueryGeo.
