{mprestriction ids="1,2"}The new service and maintenance contract will be fulfilled by Telemar’s UK branch, and will include 24/7 remote assistance, a dedicated service coordinator and on board engineer servicing.
A range of additional Telemar value added services also form part of the deal, including an online database of spare parts, reports to identify obsolete equipment and breakdown failure rates, and statistics to measure individual engineers’ productivity and success rates.
“Our goal is always to maximise availability of our vessels, and Telemar and the Marlink Group are well positioned to help us achieve this,” said Simon Merritt, Carisbrooke Shipping.
“Telemar has demonstrated a strong understanding of optimising ships’ bridge equipment servicing to ensure high uptime and lower failure rates, making it a natural step for us to add their services to the satcom provisioning we have from Marlink across our fleet.”{/mprestriction}
