LNGLive, a new daily gas flow and LNG vessel movement reporting service, has been launched by Lloyd’s Register-Fairplay and software company Innovez.
The new system provides global gas flows, ship locations, destinations, port call histories and movement analysis for the entire global LNG fleet, including terminal type and ship capacity.
The system is based on data derived from the ships’ Automatic Identification System (AIS) transponders, collected from the AISLive.com network, also owned by Lloyd’s Register-Fairplay.
The AIS data is then automatically analysed by the software, developed by Innovez, providing a comprehensive picture of the LNG market and the ability to see where LNG cargoes are, where they originated and where they are heading.
LNGLive also uses predictive algorithms to detect port calls even when a ship’s AIS transponder is switched off, and can detect factors such as ships drifting near port; port queuing, as well as ships filling at Regas terminals to re-distribute and trips completed outside AIS reception.
LNGLive can additionally be used to filter out claimed trips that could not have been completed in the time available.
