The global series of two-day Digital Ship maritime technology conferences and exhibitions will feature five events in 2015, with the first to take place in Bergen in February and be followed by events in Hamburg, Tokyo and Singapore before returning to Athens in November.
As in 2014, Airbus Defence and Space will act as the main sponsor for each of these events and will also host a gala dinner for all conference attendees at the various locations around the world.
The agreement additionally includes the Digital Ship Maritime CIO Forum, a one-day event that will take place during Nor-Shipping 2015 in Oslo in June.
"Airbus Defence and Space is happy to continue our longstanding relationship with Digital Ship and endorse its work in facilitating the exchange of the latest news and ideas in the maritime satcom market," said Tore Morten Olsen, head of maritime at Airbus Defence and Space.
"We are delighted to continue as the Global Sponsor of Digital Ship Events in 2015 and look forward to showing our ongoing support for the local maritime market around the world at the events' various locations."
Stuart Fryer, managing director of Digital Ship Events, welcomed Airbus Defence and Space's reaffirmed commitment to the global conference series and its desire to build on the successful events of the last year.
"Digital Ship Events are extremely pleased that Airbus Defence and Space has once again demonstrated its active support for our conference series and that the company will be our Global Sponsor for a second time in 2015," he said.
"Both Airbus Defence and Space and ourselves are committed to the goals of knowledge sharing and technological advancement within the maritime industry that underpin these events, and we hope that this partnership will continue to work towards delivering on that shared vision."
"We look forward to working together in the coming year and continuing to develop the Digital Ship Events series for the maritime community around the world."
