Crew news system launched by Marpoint

Evo News promises up to 1000 news stories per megabyte Evo News promises up to 1000 news stories per megabyte

Marpoint has added a new crew welfare system with the launch of Evo News, a customised RSS package that delivers compressed news articles to vessels at sea.

{mprestriction ids="1,2"}Evo News allows a shipping company to create a customised newsfeed based on crew requirements which can be made available worldwide.

Compressed news and articles can be sent on a daily basis, from different countries in different languages (based on crew nationality). The user can select exactly which RSS newsfeeds they want to distribute, from any country or category and with or without pictures, and can also use the system to distribute custom company news or training articles for the crew.

All stories can be viewed offline on the vessel’s internal network by the crew using their own devices (laptop, smartphone, crew PC etc.).

Marpoint says that Evo News can transmit more than 150 complete articles (with pictures) or more than 1000 articles (text only) to a vessel with a single megabyte.{/mprestriction}
