SpeedCast VSAT for 150 Korean ships

SpeedCast and Korean satellite service provide KTsat report that they have been awarded a new contract to provide global Ku-band maritime communications services to up to 150 vessels, though the shipping companies in question have not been named.

{mprestriction ids="1,2"}The service will be installed on all of the contracted ships over the course of next 18 months, the companies said.

“We are delighted to see the growth of our partnership with KTsat, servicing Korean shipping customers,” noted Piers Cunningham, vice president, maritime services, SpeedCast.

“Over the past six years, SpeedCast has been providing KTsat customers with access to our global satellite telecommunications service network, offering an uninterrupted satellite coverage along major maritime routes and offshore regions.”{/mprestriction}
