Infinity passes 4,000 mark

Navarino has announced that its Infinity system has now shipped more than 4,000 units, with the system having launched five years ago.

{mprestriction ids="1,2"}The 4,000 units are all installed on merchant marine vessels, with development solely focused on that sector of the maritime market, the company said.

Infinity is available in three versions – Standard, Infinity Plus and Infinity Cube. The Plus and the Cube offer all the Standard functions, while the Plus adds remote access and virtualisation. The Cube is in effect two nodes of the Plus system, to create an active-active cluster environment with redundancy between the twin nodes

“The year 2016 is proving to be yet another historic milestone for us, where we managed to set successful benchmarks in all areas of our Infinity business,” said Konstantinos Katsoulis, Navarino commercial director.

“We see to a greater and greater extent that shipping companies are choosing our Infinity virtualisation platforms, as they appreciate the value that virtualisation and full remote management of applications onboard can bring.”

“By focusing and by strategically developing Infinity and its capabilities to suit the market needs which we encounter among customers, we see that we are gaining significant sales momentum in the maritime marketplace. Our development initiatives drove our performance for the year and, moving forward, we fully intend to continue to deliver on our strategy of delivering the most advanced, feature-rich applications platform to the shipping industry.”{/mprestriction}
