Speedcast and COMSAT sign VSAT partnership

Speedcast has signed an agreement with government satellite connectivity provider COMSAT to establish a common global service offering of Ku-band VSAT services for both the government and maritime markets.

{mprestriction ids="1,2"}The combined network will leverage Speedcast’s approximately 8 GHz of global satellite capacity and COMSAT’s owned teleports at various sites in the United States to deliver connectivity to customers.

COMSAT will provide teleport and hosting services, as well as technical and engineering assistance to help interconnect and migrate network segments.
