Premium VSAT for d’Amico’s 50-strong fleet

Italian ship owner d’Amico Group is to implement Marlink’s Sealink Premium Plus VSAT service across its fleet of more than 50 dry cargo and product tankers, the companies report.

{mprestriction ids="1,2"}Sealink Premium Plus offers a guaranteed Committed Information Rate (CIR) and unlimited Ku-band VSAT data, as well as unlimited L-band back-up connectivity, for a fixed monthly fee. The package to be provided to d’Amico also includes the Marlink XChange communications management system to control automatic switching to the L-band back-up system as required. 

As part of the deal, d’Amico has will also have access to the Universal Remote Access service via the XChange box, providing a direct connection to the vessels’ networks for support purposes, as well as Marlink’s Portal360 online communications management tool, which provides account and subscription information, electronic invoices and service usage data.
