Thuraya unveils new satellite solutions

Thuraya Telecommunications Company has announced a range of new smart solutions for the fast-growing Asia-Pacific (APAC) market including a VSAT+ maritime service and WE SAT – LTE broadband hotspot to enable smooth end to end data flow at sea and on land.

{mprestriction ids="1,2"}Other solutions unveiled at CommunicAsia 2019 include the T2M-DUAL to enable tracking and monitoring for remote data management and analytics and the Thuraya X5-Touch, an Android, SAT - GSM touch phone. The T2M-DUAL solution is tailored for niche operations such as fleet management, renewable energy, security and surveillance.

According to Thuraya, the new solutions combine L-band with GSM and Ku to provide better access to voice, broadband and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications across a range of platforms and networks.

We are fully committed to expanding our capabilities, diversifying portfolio offerings and improving our relevance in the region, where we have had a strong foothold since 2001. Asia constitutes a great opportunity and a key area of growth for our partners and the many sectors we serve,” said Thuraya chief commercial officer, Shawkat Ahmed.

The company believes it is well positioned to meet the increasing needs of its APAC customers having previously provided in-depth coverage across Asia and Oceania.
