Adora Cruises is deploying Ripple Operations on another vessel as the Asian cruise operator expands its fleet. The partnership shows how crew management platforms need to scale with vessel numbers, crew populations and the operational processes that support them.
Adora Cruises is deploying Ripple Operations on another vessel this autumn, expanding its use of the crew management platform as its fleet grows in Asia.
Ripple Operations said the work covers the administrative processes behind a cruise workforce, including crew hiring, scheduling, travel to joining ports, certificate checks and payroll. As more vessels are added, those processes also have to accommodate larger crew populations and different operational requirements.
The partnership also puts emphasis on adapting the software to Adora’s operating model rather than treating implementation as a one-off technology project.
Kara Sasse, CEO of Ripple Operations, said: “A partnership like this is never finished. Adora understands its operation deeply, and that produces very specific requirements for us. Our job is to keep listening, keep adapting and make sure the platform can support them as they grow.”
The approach matters to shipowners and managers dealing with fleet expansion because crew administration can become more complex with every additional vessel. Hiring, certification, travel arrangements, scheduling and payroll each involve operational data that has to remain consistent across the fleet.
Ripple said its team works with Adora to understand its requirements and adapt the platform around how the operation works. The company said another vessel will be brought onto the platform this autumn.
The announcement also shows a practical side of maritime digitalisation. Fleet software has to fit the processes used by the operator, while those processes can change as the fleet, crew base and operating requirements grow.
