Orilla Mail connects 100 vessels in 3 months

Port-IT has announced that it has connected more than 100 vessels to its shore managed e-mail solution ‘Orilla Mail’ in the past 3 months and expects to triple this number within the next three months.

{mprestriction ids="1,2"}According to Port-IT, increasing demand for an independent e-mail solution that does not feature needless features that raise the license price has resulted in more installations of Orilla Mail.

The shore managed maritime e-mail solution features a fully integrated web-interface and is compatible with any airtime provider on the market. Integration with Port-IT’s IRIS service allows incoming emails to be scanned with a multitude of Antivirus products in order to eliminate the possibility for an infection to reach the vessel.

Crew e-mail is also included at no extra charge. Custom-made features can be integrated upon request to deliver a flexible e-mail solution completely tailored to the customer’s needs.

Port-IT recently added an opt-in feature that stores all incoming and outgoing e-mails. This extra service can be valuable in case the communication PC onboard a vessel crashes. By opting in, Port-IT ensures that all e-mails will be available in case needed at no additional cost. The customer determines how long Port-IT retains the backups, with a maximum of 5 years.{/mprestriction}
