SRO Solutions offers new cloud-based service

SRO Solutions, which specialises in Enterprise Asset Management software for the marine industry, is offering a new cloud-based service following a partnership with US distributor Projetech.

{mprestriction ids="1,2"} The deal allows SRO Solutions to offer Projetech's cloud-hosted Maximo as a Service solution in conjunction with its own tools, which offer ship to shore data replication and allow users to carry out software upgrades and data migration without shutting down their systems.

IBM's Maximo asset management system helps marine companies to reduce operation risk and cost, manage assets and inventory more effectively and optimise work processes.

SRO Solutions’ Data Replicator (SDR) tool enables exclusive, highly configurable, dependable data synchronisation, allowing operators to keep ships and other disconnected Maximo sites fully in sync regardless of data communication latency and bandwidth.

SRO also offers a ‘zero downtime' software upgrade and data migration solution, the SRO Data Utility (SDU). Both tools are in growing demand from businesses which need to avoid outages or maintain access to data at all times.

"The new partnership allows our customers to move their central Maximo systems into a cloud-provisioned Maximo as a service, which takes away all the associated cost and resource of the central Maximo system, moving it into the cloud. "Our SDR tool will seamlessly and automatically replicate data between the cloud and their local operations, keeping their systems fully in sync and therefore offering them the best of both worlds,” said Tony Lackey, managing director of SRO Solutions.

"Projetech is extremely excited about this partnership with SRO Solutions," said Darrell Tucker, enterprise SaaS executive at Projetech. "SRO has a great reputation within the Maximo community and brings forward proven tools, like SDU, and SDR. We are pleased to be able to offer these solutions within the Projetech cloud." {/mprestriction}
