The InfoSHIP solution will be installed across the entire Crystal Pool’s fleet, working in close coordination, with the head-office team, based in Genoa, to establish a “safety culture” at corporate level.
Thanks to the InfoSHIP Quality Management solution, Crystal Pool could satisfy all the basic functional requirements set by the ISM Code to ensure the safety of every ship and the marine environment.
The solution aims to digitalise and standardise procedures and guidelines to act in an emergency and to report accidents or any other form of non-conformities, according to the type of vessel and the cargo carried by the latter.
The plans and checklists form the most integral part of the implementation procedure of the ISM code on ships, and through IB’s system, Crystal Pool will be able to keep record of any document, procedure, and form and fix a clear information on level of authority and lines of communication among ship crew members, and between shore and shipboard personnel.
The project’s goal is to reach continual, flexible procedures that address problem areas and help identify the root cause of events. This will enable appropriate safety actions to be more readily identified, reducing the burden of paperwork on crew.
IB’s Quality Management Solution improves the overall planning process and ensures smooth operations, ultimately leading to customer satisfaction.
“We strive to exceed the best industry practices and standards for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Ship Management and all our onshore and sea staff are continuously assessed and trained through relevant courses and seminars to improve awareness on such topics” said a Crystal Pool representative.
