SpecTec has partnered with South Korean maritime technology provider HarborMax to distribute its AMOS asset management platform and deliver onboard ICT services across South Korea and the wider Asia-Pacific market. HarborMax already provides ICT technology to more than 100 vessels in Asia and has more than 20 years of experience working with AMOS.
The agreement, signed at SMM Hamburg 2026, gives shipowners, ship managers and shipyards access to AMOS through a regional provider with an established presence in maritime communications and onboard technology.
HarborMax will add AMOS to its existing portfolio of maritime internet, 3D asset management, Marine Single Window and smart port services. The combination brings fleet asset management and compliance software alongside the connectivity and ICT systems already used by its customers.
The partnership puts greater emphasis on how these systems work together across vessel operations. AMOS is designed to manage maritime assets and compliance, while its open integration framework allows operators to connect additional modules and partner systems.
The partnership also strengthens SpecTec’s regional network. The company already has a hub in Singapore and works with Consurve Technic in Malaysia, giving it distribution and support links across several major Asian maritime markets.
Adam Dennett, CEO of SpecTec, said: “Our growth across Asia-Pacific depends on building relationships with partners who understand both the technology and the region they serve. HarborMax brings both, with two decades of experience working with AMOS and a track record of delivering digitalisation projects to fleets across Asia.”
He added: “This partnership means shipping businesses across South Korea and the wider region now have direct access to that expertise, backed by a platform they already know and trust.”
The regional expansion adds another route to fleet asset management and compliance tools as operators handle maintenance, safety and regulatory requirements across vessels operating in multiple markets.
