StormGeo leads the industry with 50,000 ship voyages routed annually, award winning fleet management tools and more than 5,000 ships using our BVS onboard route optimization system.

StormGeo’s products and services are designed to help ship owners, charterers, operators, fleet managers and captains identify the safest, most time-efficient or fuel-efficient routes for their fleets.

World-renowned experts in ship routing, meteorology, IT and maritime science, as well as former ship captains staff the company.

Ship Route Advisory Services

We enable our customers to plan and execute the safest, most cost-effective routes.

SmartSpeedTM-  SmartSpeed combines vessel specifications and voyage details with our real-time weather and oceanographic information to calculate optimal speed settings for an entire voyage. Operators and captains improve vessel performance, burn less fuel, and reduce carbon emissions to help comply with government regulations, while achieving their commercial objectives.

Earliest Arrival and Fuel Optimization Services – StormGeo delivers the benefits of its proprietary route optimization system – the most sophisticated weather routing tool available today. In this process, we integrate vessel specifications, including vessel type, age, stability, cargo, and speed, as well as environmental factors, such as weather and ocean currents. Combined with our experienced weather routing experts, we identify the best route to achieve earliest arrival or optimal fuel efficiency.

Tracking & Polling - StormGeo’s vessel tracking service empowers vessel operators with information and knowledge about vessel activities. It provides real-time tracking and positioning of an individual vessel or an entire fleet via satellite communication, giving accurate and complete position information while closely monitoring ETA.

Products & Systems

We provide innovative tools to captions and shore-based operators to enhance safety and manage costs.

BVSTM- We put voyage-planning right in the hands of the captain and help him plan and determine the safest, most fuel-efficient route.  BVS is the leading onboard voyage optimization system and is used on 5,000 commercial vessels.

Fleet Decision Support System – Fleet DSSTM 2.0 equips you with powerful tools to give you the insight you need to quickly access critical information to save resources and make faster, more informed decisions. This makes it easier to manage the performance and safety of your fleet.

Seaware EnRoute Live - For more precise planning, Seaware EnRoute Live uses a physics-based propulsion model for performance calculations. Utilizing a high-resolution motion sensor, the system generates predictions of ship dynamics based on the surrounding sea state. It also provides seakeeping guidance and displays the effect of alternative speeds and/or headings.

Global AIS – In addition to shore-based coverage to track and monitor vessels, StormGeo expands coverage using global satellite-based AIS data to monitor maritime vessels beyond coastal regions. Complete the picture by combining Global AIS service with our Tracking Service.

Partners

StormGeo partners include KVH, UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO), NAVTOR, JRC and ChartCo to bring integrated bridge systems to our customers.
